Neymar escapes from Paris Saint Germain after Al Khelaifi threats

It seems that Neymar Jr’s future will be more abroad than inside Paris Saint-Germain. According to information from RMC Sport, the Brazilian is considering leaving Paris Saint-Germain after the club showed him their desire to leave and after statements by its president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, in Le Parisien, in which he admitted that he wanted players who were fully committed to the project.

And Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain, announced in Le Parisien this week a complete change of course for the Parisian team: “Now, the position of Paris Saint-Germain is clear: players who are not part of the project will have to leave. Some have taken advantage of the situation, and now it’s over!”

The midfielder, who joined Paris in 2017 as a world star and has lost his fame over the years, has a clause in his new contract that, if the club wishes, can be automatically renewed until 2027, a situation that greatly complicates his departure. A bit because of a contractual issue and an exorbitant salary that few clubs in Europe can afford.

According to French RMC Sport, many clubs, especially in England, are closely following Neymar’s situation. One of them is Chelsea, coach Thomas Tuchel with whom the former Barcelona player reached his best level in Paris. Manchester United also puts him in mind in the event of the departure of Cristiano, and Newcastle, after the acquisition of Saudi Arabia, can carry out such an operation financially.

Neymar did not like Al-Khelaifi’s threats in Le Parisien, which is why he began a period of reflection in which he doubted his continuation at Paris Saint-Germain.

The Parisians no longer consider him an untouchable player and have put all their efforts into Mbappe to be the de facto leader of the project. The next few weeks will be decisive in deciding Neymar’s possible departure from Paris Saint-Germain.
