Real Madrid offers two shirt numbers to Rudiger: one of them is “legendary”

Real Madrid will soon introduce Rudiger, but the number he will wear on the shirt is still unknown. At the club they made him two proposals, whereby Carvajal wears his usual number.

Real Madrid has not yet presented Rudiger, despite the fact that the German was the first signing of the summer, there was no chance, because the international commitments of the defender with Germany in the Nations League led to the postponement of his presentation ceremony.

For his part, Tchwamini was introduced. He did so upon his return from the France national team camp. The Frenchman had the option of Real Madrid and PSG on the table, but he had no doubts and would wear the white shirt with the number 18 on his back.

Now, it remains to be seen what number Rudiger will wear on his shirt. Usually, he always wore the number 2, both in Chelsea and in the national team, but this number here is occupied by Carvajal, so he will have to find another.

Real Madrid offered him 12 and 22 at the moment. Until this season, these were the numbers held by Marcelo and Isco, but both have terminated their contracts with the club.

Some on social media are choosing to demand that Marcelo’s number 12 be removed. The Brazilian is a legend for the club, leaving the white club as the player with the most titles (25) in his 16 seasons. His farewell was very emotional, but he will always love Real Madrid.

Rudiger will have to decide between both numbers. The German finally made it to the white team as a free agent, as did David Alaba last summer. In this way, the Austrian will be more liberated and Carlo Ancelotti will have more options in defense.
