Kounde awaits Tchouameni transfer to Real Madrid

Jules Kounde and Chelsea have practically signed an agreement for the next five seasons that must now be closed with the third party to this deal, Sevilla FC.

The defender, who is now committed to the French national team for the Nations League matches, will play on Friday in Austria and on Monday he will go on vacation after the Croatia match, very attentive to his phone, because they will call him at any moment from London.

There are several reasons why Kounde’s deal hasn’t been closed yet. One, because the Blues were on their way to changing owners between Russian Roman Abramovich and North American businessman Todd Boehle. The second reason, which has yet to be resolved, lies in Sevilla’s need to sign at least one central defender before getting rid of another defender, following Diego Carlos’s sale to Aston Villa.

And the third reason depends on Real Madrid and Aurelien Tchouameni, his former teammate and friend. They can be seen together recently, in Miami, enjoying their vacation. It happens that the two players, who co-branded together in the French club Bordeaux, are represented by the same agent: Jonathan Kepe. Kebe is currently working on finalizing Tchouameni’s move from Monaco to Real Madrid.

So Kounde is also in that queue. As Tchouameni is with the France national team as well, it is not expected that the midfielder’s move to the Whites will be finalized until at least next week.

By then, with a high probability, Sevilla and Chelsea will already have advanced negotiations that are expected to pay off at €60-65m. Kibe, who would be the least busy, is also free to close the deal at that time.
