Four players rebel against Paris Saint-Germain

The Paris Saint-Germain revolution has already begun. After the departure of Leonardo and the signing of Luis Campos, the current French Ligue 1 champion aims to disengage from some of his players with the aim of creating a competitive team that aspires to win the Champions League. The task will not be easy, as many of the players selected to leave have announced that they have no intention of leaving the club.

If Luis Campos is responsible for the new deals at the club, Antero Henrique, who was already the sporting director of the Parisian entity until 2019, will do the sales work. The Brazilian, for example, was the one who sold Yuri Berchich to Athletic Bilbao in 2018 for €25 million, and unlike Leonardo, he has demonstrated proven skill when it comes to negotiating player sales.

According to L’Equipe, the candidates to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the summer are four players: Icardi (with a contract until 2024), Draxler (2024), Paredes (2023) and Kehrer (2023).

The Parisian team wants to get rid of them, but Paredes’ statements this week, which confirmed his continuation in Paris next season, made it difficult for them to leave. Each one is worth €20 million, figures that are affordable by many teams in Europe.

One of the big problems for getting them out of the French capital is the wages they receive. Paredes, for example, earns a salary of 2.5 million euros per month, a figure that Paris Saint-Germain is forced to dump to lower the wage bill. The fact that he is close to Messi may make it difficult for them to force him to leave, before the start of the Qatar World Cup in November.

Those who will have more facilities to leave PSG are Colin Dagba, Abdou Diallo, Joy and Kurzawa, players who are not important to the sports department and who have not finished settling at the club. According to L’Equipe, they are willing to accept PSG’s claims and will leave if an interesting offer arrives.

Others such as Herrera, Wijnaldum, Danilo Pereira and Keylor are also on the list of the departed.
