UEFA removes two Real Madrid players from the Champions League title

Real Madrid won the Champions League for the fourteenth time in its history, after defeating Liverpool with a clean goal in the final match on Saturday evening at the Stade de France in the capital, Paris. The celebrations were noisy and extended to another day, which for some were not official celebrations as UEFA officially stripped them of the title.

UEFA considers that two of the Real Madrid players did not win the Champions League, who took the final medal and stood with the players at the coronation ceremony in Paris, but for UEFA, they did not win the Champions League.

The reason for this is that UEFA considers players who do not play a minute in this competition all season as not winning the title. This is what happened with Isco and Lunin, whom Ancelotti has not pushed in the Champions League this season.

They were the only two players from the first team who did not participate even once in this competition. Despite everything, for Real Madrid, both Isco and Lunin won the Champions League.

Isco will leave Real Madrid this summer after the termination of his contract with the white club, while Lunin may leave the Bernabeu in search of opportunities to participate in matches he does not have at the white club.
