La Liga standings: Real Madrid kill two birds with one stone after beating Sociedad

Real Madrid won a landslide victory and turned its goal back into a 4-goal victory against Real Sociedad in the match that took place between the two teams yesterday, Saturday, at the Santiago Bernabeu in the 27th round of the Spanish League season 2021-2022.

Oyarzabal opened the scoring for the guests in the tenth minute with a penalty kick before Real Madrid’s four-way flood began: Camavinga in the 40th minute, Luka Modric in the 43rd minute, Karim Benzema in the 76th minute with a penalty kick, then Asensio finished the party with the fourth goal in the 79th minute.

This victory, over a stubborn opponent such as Sociedad, will give a great morale boost to the players before welcoming the Paris Saint-Germain team – who lost yesterday against Nice with a clean goal in the French League – in the second leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League. The first leg ended 1-0 in favor of the French team.

Real Madrid hit another bird with the same stone, as they took advantage of the faltering of the Seville team, its closest pursuers, which drew 0-0 with Deportivo Alaves on Friday in the framework of the matches of the same round. The Blaugrana widened the difference to 8 points with the Andalusian team.
