The news that Kylian Mbappe has agreed to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain has caused a lot of anger and frustration at Real Madrid, and the French striker understands why.
In a message posted on his Twitter account, Mbappe explained the reasons for renewing his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
And the fourth paragraph of Mbappe’s message read: “I would also like to sincerely thank Real Madrid and their president, Florentino Perez. I am very fortunate and privileged to be wanted by this great club.”
“I understand their disappointment. I will cheer them on in the Champions League final, in Paris, my home. I am very happy to be able to continue to progress in France, the country that saw me born, grow and prove myself. This gives me the opportunity to continue to pursue my dreams.”
In terms of his reason for choosing to stay at Paris Saint-Germain and refusing to move to Real Madrid, he referred to the project in the French club.
“I am convinced that here I can continue to grow into a club that has the means to achieve our goals,” Mbappe explained. I would like to thank President Nasser Al-Khulaifi for his trust, listening and patience.”
“I also think of all PSG fans, in France and around the world, for their countless expressions of affection, especially in recent months.”
First of all, Mbappe started his letter by discussing his dreams when he was a child. He noted that “from a young age, rather than dreaming about life, I would have preferred to live my dreams.”
“It is a choice, a principle and a privilege at the same time. From a very young age, I tried to move forward, from challenging to challenging. Since I was a kid, I’ve built a path to the top, no matter what, but I always remain vigilant to respect the line of conduct in all areas.”
He concluded: “Since I was a child, I have been driven by the same passion and the same motivation. This sometimes causes misunderstanding, but I accept this honesty that goes with my upbringing. Today, I would like to announce that I have decided to extend my contract with Paris Saint-Germain.”
