Mbappe disappointed after Real Madrid’s latest offer

As explained by El Pais newspaper, Kylian Mbappe’s lawyers were baffled when Real Madrid made them their fourth and final official offer to sign him: €180m in signing bonus, €40m net salary per year, and 50% of profits from image rights.

The French star, advised by the image rights expert Delphine Vertaiden, and his entire team of lawyers, estimates that the player’s assets in terms of publicity will currently be about 40 million, and could rise to 70 million. EA, Nike or Hublot are some of the brands already working with the player, but the celebration of the World Cup in Qatar at the end of the year is multiplying the companies’ interest in scoring France’s top scorer.

In addition, Vertaydin and Mbappe’s parents admitted that they were surprised because in nearly two years of talks, Real Madrid had not said anything to them about the transfer of 50% of the image rights.

Moreover, they recalled with astonishment that Real Madrid had proposed signing an agreement contract, according to which a fine would be signed if either party eventually violated the agreement. The lawyers saw no benefit from this obligation on their client, who, according to FIFA rules, since January, has been free to negotiate with whomever he wants.
