Mbappe disturbs peace Real Madrid’s celebrations after beating Manchester City

Real Madrid qualified for the Champions League final after achieving a historic victory over Manchester City by three goals to one in the return match that was held yesterday evening, Wednesday, at the Santiago Bernabeu. The way to win in the deadly time after being late with a clean goal blew up huge celebrations for the royal club’s supporters around the world, but urgent news about Kylian Mbappe slightly disturbed those celebrations.

Kylian Mbappe is close to signing a new two-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain, according to a surprising report published by the famous French newspaper Le Parisien, which is close to the Parisian club.

The 23-year-old has been closely linked with a move away from the French capital over the past few months, with Real Madrid reportedly keen to bring him to the Bernabeu on a free transfer at the end of the season.

According to Le Parisien, Mbappe is now preparing to stay in Paris for the foreseeable future after reaching an agreement in principle on a new two-year deal with a third year option.

The report states that Mbappe’s representatives have accepted PSG’s latest offer, which includes a staggering net salary of around €50 million per year. The striker will also receive a lucrative signing bonus of €100 million if he officially puts pen to paper between now and the expiration of his current deal at the end of June.

Those in power at PSG are said to be insisting that Mbappe sign his new and improved contract once the formalities are settled by all parties in the not too distant future. His new deal will be a huge blow to the likes of Real Madrid, who have been widely linked with signing him before next season.

The Spanish giant is known to be a huge fan of Mbappe, and he reportedly made a nine-figure bid but was turned down by PSG just hours before the deadline for the closing of the transfer market last summer. It seems likely that they will now have to look elsewhere in order to bolster their offensive ranks after their efforts to win Mbappe’s signature failed at the expense of his current employers.

Mbappe has scored 35 goals in all competitions for PSG this season and is expected to act as an offensive talisman for at least the next two years if he decides to sign his new contract over the coming weeks. He refused to rule out the possibility of staying at PSG when asked about his future last month but insisted he had not yet made a final decision on whether or not he would leave the club before next season.
