Real Madrid’s 4-0 victory over Espanyol crowned the white club as a regular champion of the tournament for the thirty-fifth time. The keys to this success lie in Ancelotti’s management, physical preparation, fitness of some players and many other issues. Radio Cadena analysts analyze the course of the upcoming match against Atletico Madrid.
Possibility of constructing an honor corridor in Wanda Metropolitano
Even before achieving his 35th league title, the debate was over whether Atletico Madrid should make a corridor of honor for Real Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano. Pedro Volana said the dressing room would not be up to the task of doing so and, in Jimenez’s words, “will respect their fans”.
Julio Pulido: “Atletico Madrid have already made a mistake. Whatever they did. All Atleti players and leaders must come out tonight and say they will create a corridor of honor for Real Madrid, as they should. And if the argument is that Real Madrid in his day was wrong, then this is not an argument.”
Mario Torrejon: “For me, this debate is another fad. It seems to me that with all these statements, the dimension that most fans represent are ordinary people. I don’t see the humiliation of honoring one player for another who was credited with winning the title.”
Julio Pulido: “I have spoken with the fans of Atletico Madrid who are in favor of setting up the Real Madrid honor corridor. I don’t know the fans that Jimenez has consulted, but it’s not the vast majority.”
Anton Mina: “At that club they do what Simeone says. Either Cholo comes out and tells his people, “We’ll make the pass,” or if Cholo doesn’t come forward, the decision has been made and they won’t.
Julio Pulido: “I hope the Atletico Madrid players will reconsider it and make the pass because if they don’t, they will fool themselves.”
