Video.. Rio Ferdinand’s funny reaction to Benzema Panenka penalty: “This man is a joke”

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand was left distraught when Karim Benzema scored a Panenka-style penalty against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday evening in the Champions League semi-final first leg, which ended with the visitors winning 4-3.

The French striker scored two goals and his second goal sparked wild celebrations and admiration around the world. Rio Ferdinand posted a video of his hilarious reaction to BT Sport after Benzema’s penalty kick.

Ferdinand shouted, “Rerrrrrrrrrrem. What a player…! This guy is a joke,” when the Frenchman scored a penalty kick in Panenka style.

He also said, “This is not an opportunity for any other No. 9 player. He does it in the style of Mathieu Le Tissier.”
