Cope: “Real Madrid stops Mbappe’s deal after his last request”

Mbappe will be one of the next transfer market champions. The Paris Saint-Germain striker has terminated his contract and has not yet renewed, so everyone took his signing with Real Madrid for granted, although a new request from the French player may break that future relationship.

The L’Equipe newspaper said that Paris Saint-Germain had not yet given in to Mbappe’s apparent desire to wear the Real Madrid shirt and they invited his mother, Faiza Al-Amari, to Doha and put a blank check on the table to finish the deal.

For its part, Marca newspaper played down the importance of Mbappe’s mother’s visit to Doha and stressed that Mbappe does not seek money as much as he wants to play in a competitive team and win the Champions League. The Spanish newspaper also reported that image rights play a decisive role in Mbappe’s final decision regarding renewing his contract with Paris Saint-Germain or signing for Real Madrid.

Kylian Mbappe wants to get 100% of the image right in the club he will play for and according to Marca newspaper, he does not want this for financial reasons, but he wants to control the advertisements and images he will make. The French striker does not want to participate in advertisements for products he sees as harmful to children, such as soda and fast food.

On Spanish radio station Cope, famous journalist Guilem Balaji reported that Mbappe asked Real Madrid for 100 million more than they had already agreed. At Real Madrid, they will not be ready to meet the Frenchman’s request and Florentino Perez has suspended the operation for the time being. This move will increase his chances of staying in Paris Saint-Germain.

To all this, Mbappe’s mother in Doha and in L’Equipe indicates that there will be important talks about his future. At PSG they want him to stay, at least, beyond the World Cup in Qatar.

These new intentions will leave Mbappe in doubts about his future and the next few weeks will be key to figuring out where one of today’s top players will play next season.
