Reports in Spain said that Real Madrid had received an offer from the English Premier League for Dani Ceballos. The 25-year-old midfielder has struggled to play since returning to the Bernabeu from Arsenal, where he spent two years on loan.
In fact, Ceballos only played 67 minutes of football under Carlo Ancelotti in six games and has yet to start this season. This has sparked the interest of the Crystal Palace team, according to a report by the “Fichajes” website.
The report adds that the Eagles are preparing to make an offer of 15 million pounds to the Spaniard, which is an irresistible offer for a player who is not needed by the team and whose contract expires the following year. But Palace are said to be willing to raise their price to ensure the arrival of Ceballos, who has 18 months left on his Real Madrid contract.
This means that he could be ready to move in the summer, especially since Ancelotti does not need him in the squad at the moment.
Patrick Vieira is looking to add a midfielder as superstar Conor Gallagher is set to lose when his loan expires at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old has been in great form this season, scoring eight goals in the Premier League – more than any player at his parent club Chelsea.
Gallagher’s performance even led to his England debut at the end of last year and he is likely to find a role in Thomas Tuchel’s squad next season.
Should Ceballos arrive as his replacement, he will be able to fit in with the Premier League atmosphere as he made 77 appearances during his time at the Emirates Stadium and helped the club win the FA Cup in his first season.
