L’Equipe clarifies PSG’s future intentions regarding its stars: who stays and who leaves?

After the defeat to Real Madrid in the round of 16 of the Champions League, it is time to talk about the future of Paris Saint-Germain. Specifically, the newspaper L’Equipe deals with the situation of the players of the French team.

outside more than inside

The prestigious newspaper talks about two players who are more outside than inside next season: Mbappe and Di Maria. The French striker confirms that the most logical thing is to see him next year in a Real Madrid shirt, but Paris Saint-Germain has not yet given up, according to the newspaper’s description.

As for Di Maria, the French newspaper says: “His hopes of staying another year were almost extinguished.” At 34, the Argentine’s future appears to be a far cry from the French capital.

More inside than outside

On the other hand, L’Equipe asserts that  Messi and Neymar  “must stay” for another year in the team. “The integration of (Leo) was difficult and the failure against Real Madrid hurt him, but those who know him say that today he is happy in Paris, he left his mark.”

The situation of the Brazilian player is similar. He has a contract and no team seems to be able to pay Neymar’s salary which has been very much in question.

the rest

Marquinhos, Verratti, Hakimi, Donnarumma, Nuno Mendes and Kimpembe are the base on which they want to continue building the team, so none of them will be allowed to leave the club next summer.

questionable

There are players whose futures are quite uncertain and the market can tilt the scales to either side. This is the case of Leandro Paredes, Idrissa Guy, Tilo Kerrer, Layvin Kurzawa, Julian Draxler and Ander Herrera.

Ramos failed

L’Equipe also reveals a special case of Sergio Ramos, whom it calls “a fiasco” after playing only five matches. That’s yes, the Andalusian has another year on the contract and if PSG don’t want to count on him, he will have to pay his remaining salary in full.
