Arteta demands Arsenal sign a deal from Real Madrid in January

Marco Asensio’s future is still unknown. The Spanish winger is ending his contract with Real Madrid in June 2023 and despite the fact that the Whites seem to be offering him a renewal, the player must decide whether to continue at the Bernabéu, without being an undisputed starter, or to start a new adventure.

In Italy, Juventus and Milan were interested in Marco Asensio and their plans were to try and sign him in the summer, but now those plans could be torpedoed.

The Italian press has confirmed that Arsenal, at Arteta’s request, want Marco Asensio in January. According to the Italian media, the Arsenal coach asked the officials of the club that leads the English Premier League to sign Asensio in this winter market.

Marco Asensio is now in the finals of the World Cup in Qatar and is focused on the Spanish national team. His future will be decided after the World Cup, and he will not close the door on his departure from Real Madrid. In principle, in the summer, but breaking into Arsenal can make him change his mind.

Real Madrid are planning to offer him a contract renewal very similar to the one he has now. If Marco Asensio does not accept him in January, it will not cause problems for his departure in this winter market.
