The rescheduling of the Qatar World Cup, which will be held in November and December, has changed the dates of competitions around the world. The Champions League is no exception, and the group stage will end in November, a month earlier than usual due to the World Cup.
This affects the clubs that are in the Champions League and in the case of Real Madrid, it means that they will have a crazy month. Next October, the white team will play nine matches. Six in the League Championship and three in the Champions League. It’s a huge challenge for Ancelotti who will have to take turns, whether he wants to or not.
In the league championship, Real Madrid will play against Osasuna, Getafe, Barcelona, Elche, Seville and Girona. Six matches, most notably El Clasico and the confrontation of Seville, two teams that, in principle, will fight with Real Madrid for the league title. What is gratifying for the white team is that four of those matches will be played at the Bernabeu: Osasuna, Barcelona, Seville and Girona.
To those six league matches we have to add three matches from the group stage of the Champions League.
